CPC joined the City of Miramar in celebrating the completion of the Bike and Pedestrian Mobility Improvements project during the City’s recent ribbon cutting ceremony. As the Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) consultant, CPC is proud to support the successful delivery of this FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) project, which enhances mobility, accessibility, and safety throughout the community.
The project includes multimodal improvements along Miramar Parkway, SW 148th Avenue, and SW 68th Avenue, featuring buffered bike lanes, shared-use paths, sidewalks, roadway milling and resurfacing, on-street bicycle enhancements, and ADA accessibility improvements. These upgrades provide safer and more connected transportation options for pedestrians and bicyclists while improving access throughout the City.
Through comprehensive CEI services, CPC provided construction oversight, inspection, and quality assurance to help ensure the project was completed in accordance with FDOT standards, project specifications, and contract requirements.
Representing CPC at the ribbon cutting was Torrance Thomas, Project Manager, pictured on the far left alongside City of Miramar representatives Omar V. Spaulding, Engineer Inspector; DuSean Grant, P.E., Project Manager; and Salvador E. Zuniga, P.E., City Engineer. Torrance was involved with the project prior to joining CPC and was pleased to celebrate this milestone with the project team.
